Without an invitation from your mortgage advisor, financial advisor, or insurer, you cannot utilize this app.

About Ockto

Sometimes, you are required to provide a lot of personal and financial data. For instance, when applying for a mortgage, leasing a contract, seeking financial advice, or renting a property. With Ockto, you can easily and securely share your personal information. Only the necessary data is retrieved and shared - nothing more, nothing less.

How does it work?

You can submit your data with Ockto to companies affiliated with us. They will then request you to download the Ockto app and connect to the app by scanning the QR code or tapping on the 'Begin' button.

Within the app, you log in to the organizations where you intend to retrieve your personal information using Ockto. For instance, by logging in with DigiD at the Tax and Customs Administration. Your data will be collected and integrated.

At the end of the process, you can decide whether to forward the gathered information to your service provider. It is entirely up to you whether you send the information or not.

Ockto always handles your data securely. We encrypt your data to prevent unauthorized access.

Once you close Ockto, all collected data at Ockto is deleted.

What are the benefits?

With Ockto, you gather your financial data directly from the source. This offers several advantages:

1. You save time as there is no need to search for various data;
2. You save time as there is no manual input or scanning required;
3. You avoid typing errors which can save hassle later;
4. You don't accidentally forget to disclose specific loans or pension claims which can lead to better advice and prevent submitting additional information later on.

Is Ockto secure?

Ockto operates based on two key principles:

1. You are in control and decide whether to forward the retrieved information to your financial service provider.
2. Ockto never permanently stores information. Once transmission is completed, or if you close the Ockto app or device, or if consent to transmit data is not given, all personally collected data will be deleted by us.

The service provider may request you to keep your data available through Ockto for a while. This enables them to use your data for activities like offering a mortgage proposal. Explicit consent is sought in the Ockto app before transmitting data for this purpose. You always have the option to revoke permission for storage. Your data will then be permanently erased at Ockto.

Ockto complies with rigorous security standards and undergoes frequent checks on security measures. Additionally, Ockto is ISO27001 certified and adheres to GDPR privacy protection requirements for safeguarding your data and privacy.

Why does Ockto require camera access?

In most cases, you initiate the collection of financial data from your service provider's website. Often, this involves using their website on a desktop or laptop. To establish a secure connection between your app and that website, a QR code is used. The app requires access to your phone's camera to scan this QR code.
